On Top of the World (HEY!)

Hello, how are you? I have very important news I must share with you before I explode and annoy my friends by talking about this way too much. It is something that I have been thinking about for a long time and I finally did it! Today at school at dinner (lunch) I wrote a text to my mum, because this was the only way I could express it. I came out. I haven’t ‘fancied’ a male in about 3 years, apart from celebrities. I have only ever liked the idea of kissing and being in a relationship (etc.) with a female. This means I call myself bi-romantic and gay (well, a lesbian).

As you can probably tell, the reaction was very positive! My mum’s reply was, “I had a feeling you were. Love you loads xxxxx” I was so happy – I was jumping up and down expressing (loudly) how happy I was. My friends all knew, my peers knew and even many of my teachers knew, but my parents didn’t. You would have thought it would be easier to tell them but, well, it wasn’t. I even said that I could tell my entire school, but still feel sick at the thought of telling my parents.

NOW IT’S OUT THERE! WAHOO!

Although, my mum said the first thing my dad said was that he was disappointed that I chose to tell my mum rather than him. Aww.
